Though I had earlier seen many red dots with the ‘Spot Me’ logo everywhere and had vaguely wondered what those were for, I had not look it up on google. I knew it must have been something to do with the SG 50 celebration. It’s only now that I found out that it was a campaign to raise funds for some charity organizations by encouraging people to purchase a red ball and fix it on their vehicles. Those who spot these or any stickers with the logo can snap a picture and upload it to the SpotMeRedDot Facebook page to stand a chance of winning prizes.
It must have been fun but too bad the campaign is already long over as it was held from 5th June – 31st August 2015. But I was pleasantly surprised and delighted when I got on this bus the other evening while on my way home from work. Looking at its interior filled with red dots certainly perked me up.
A pleasant change from the usual boring interior. I hope SBS Transit will keep this cheery deco and do that for more of its other buses as well. It doesn’t have to be red dots.
