I had watched and rewatched this Kdrama a number of years ago. It was one of my favourites because I like the beautiful OSTs and the actors especially my idol Song Seung Heon. I had also liked the romantic story and the lovely shooting location.
The story is about Min Woo (Song Seung Heon) losing his first love Eun Hye due to an accident and meeting Hye Won (Son Ye Jin) who had received his dead fiancee’s heart in a transplant. Inexplicably they felt drawn to each other and as the story goes, it was most likely because of the dead fiancee’s heart which recognized him.
Even when I had first watched this drama, it had seemed a bit far fetched as we know it’s our brain that controls memories and feelings and not the heart. So how could the heart of a dead person have any recognition ability? But anything is possible in a drama so we will not try to reason too much.
It wasn’t so bad when I had first watched this drama but now that I’m re-watching it again, the constant harping on the deceased fiancee living through her recipient becomes totally annoying. Everyone in the story seems so certain about this that they believe Min Woo and Hye Won cannot really be in love with each other. And so for the last one-third of the drama, this fact was played up over and over until one just felt like slapping everyone in the drama.
But still I re-watched right until the end, shed some tears and fell in love all over again with the beautiful OSTs and Song Seung Heon.
