I didn’t realise my keyboard was hoarding all those crumbs within its crevices until I decided to give it a good shake. I was amazed at the amount which accumulated on my table. Wow, where did these come from? …… most likely from the numerous sandwiches I’ve been eating in front of my desktop each morning while checking my email. No wonder they say the keyboard harbours more germs than a toilet seat. I suppose most of us would find it too much of a bother to have to clean it regularly ….. the keyboard I mean. Well yes, I’m one of the guilty ones. Those germs must be having a great time setting up home on my crumbs hoarding keyboard and enjoying the daily feast.
Besides food crumbs, there’s also the buildup of dust. It’s just that we don’t notice it as most of us type without looking at the keyboard. Those of us who like to eat and drink when working on the computer should perhaps go for those spills proof ones. I’ve seen rubber keyboards in some stores which are waterproof, washable, foldable and rollable and they come in a range of nice colours. I’m not sure how good these are but they sure do brighten up the table. Spilled some coffee on it? …… no problem, just rinse it under the tap.
